Last night, I received an email from Reader "jd." "jd" thank you for sending this to me. It is positive news and you put in the work, so kudos should be given to you. I appreciate the links you provided and the photo.
"hello i am a big fan of your blog, and read something that i'd like to share with you.remember your last post about stephanie sanchez
and saw this recently on waterfront's website
it's not all too often we get to see people change their lives in such a big way, and it made me happy."
While I have done some follow up on people I have reported on who have completely changed their lives; usually people tell me in person and want it to remain private. Others do not hang around the same Humboldt areas and people which is essential for their success. I often ask Rescue Mission's Bryan Hall to let me know if one of the Mission's graduates should be featured.
Covering court and crime, you see many relapses and failure. Eureka Police Department, those involved with the local courts and criminal justice system including Stephanie's attorneys deserve to have their hard work recognized.
Stephanie deserves the credit because she was given a chance and she made it work.
