I was the first one to report on the motion for a protective order by the Humboldt County DA in convicted molestor, sex offender and former Humboldt Superior Court Clerk John Beideman's case.
Today, Deputy Public Defender Adrian Kamada and Deputy DA Candace Myers presented arguments before Humboldt Presiding Judge Kelly Neel. DA's motion for protective order against convicted molestor John Beideman resulted in zilch. It only took three hearings to get to this point.
The Public Defender was correct in their belief at the last court hearing. Maybe the DA's office should have researched jurisdiction before filing the motion? I looked up AI and since there is no information or the motion entered in e court, I don't know if a different Deputy DA could have argued the exceptions or jurisdiction. Beideman would be released to Humboldt County so depending on what the circumstances are, the Humboldt County DA would have jurisdiction.
These are the two previous detailed posts I did on the motion.
