With 632 custody credits and a two year sentence, convicted sex offender David Dues will be out on the streets soon. He was sentenced according to Prop 36.
The court minutes below are for the case in his jury trial. Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin, one of Dues' attorneys told me, "The total sentence for Dues was 3 years, 4months. He got 8 months consecutive for each felony VOP."
With Humboldt custody credits and if there are good conduct credits from prison or early release due to California's laws which constantly change, Dues won't serve the total time.
