Markus Evans arrested by DA investigator for sex crimes involving a minor

31 year old Markus Brandon Evans was arrested yesterday by DA Investigator Ryan Hill and booked for PC 288.3 (a) contacting a minor with intent to commit a felony for sexual purposes, PC 288.4(a)(1) arranging a meeting with a minor for lewd purposes and PC 288.2(a)(2) sending harmful material to a minor. Bail is $75,000.

Evans was arraigned on 10/2 for the three felony counts which are the same as the booking charges. The Public Defender's office was appointed, bail remained at $75,000. OR bail on 10/4; preliminary hearing on 10/11.

On 10/4, Judge Caleb Cockrum granted supervised release. Preliminary hearing was rescheduled to 11/21.
