In the Nylander vs Nylander saga which also involves Redwood Meat Co, the family owned business, there have been some developments since my last post on this case.
There is no 11/15/24 Case Management Conference listed in e court anymore. The 1/27/25 CMC is still scheduled. There are two court filings; one showing an October 14 entry date in ecourt but the document has a file stamp of October 21. The October 23 entry date and file stamp matches. Until I add the court documents, the basics are defendants have additional thirty days from October 11, 2024 to file a responsive pleading to the complaint to allow plaintiffs sufficient time to file their amended complaint.
Mr. Dustin Owens and Ms. Heather Burke are two of the best civil local lawyers and are respected. If you google their names and search cases I have reported on this blog, you will see their knowledge of the law, success for their clients, their professionalism and the two filings from 10/14/24 and 10/23/24 in this case are just one example of how to write and file pleadings that are to the point and covers the pertinent facts. Not every court document filed has to be lengthy. Sometimes it is necessary but it has to have a purpose. Brevity is the soul of wit; in the Nylander case brevity is the key to success and gratitude by overworked local judges, court staff and local media for two attorneys who respect other people's time.
