Michael Acosta loses appeal in 2020 case, setting of VOP hearing continued for the second time

 

Michael Acosta has lost the appeal in his 2020 case.

This morning, Acosta's case was on for setting of VOP hearing + status of appeal. Judge Leonard LaCasse continued it to 11/14 for setting & status of remittitur. 

One of the definitions of a remittitur is sending a case back to a trial court from an appellate court.

Since my last post, this is the update to Acosta's appeal. He is still ineligible to practice in California.
