Convicted sex offender Alexander Lee Gregory was arrested by Eureka Police Department yesterday for PC 290.018(b) failure to register as a sex offender. He has 31 cases in e court. The sex offense conviction is from 2019.
Having covered several of these arrests in the past, in Humboldt, there are no consequences and some of these local sex offenders repeatedly end up in the jail log for the same crime. The only way the public is safe is to be informed. Recent rulings like the Ninth Circuit make that harder for law enforcement and media actually watching out for the public.
