Anthony Hamilton conveys last offer this morning which could bring closure to Jennika's family after 8 years of pain and waiting for justice

8 years since Jennika Suazo was found deceased on P street. Today, there was another delay and another continuance in murder suspect Anthony Hamilton's preliminary hearing.

This was very last minute but hopefully this continuance may result in closure for Jennika's family and friends.

I just left the courtroom as Hamilton's case concluded. Hamilton made a last minute offer to resolve his case. Three women were in court today for Jennika. They found out about this last minute development in court at the same time I did.

Deputy Conflict Counsel R. J. Leohner told Retired Judge John Feeney he sent an email to Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees and was waiting to hear back from him.  Deputy DA Trent Timm who was in court at that time said, "because we were given notice, we let our witnesses know."

Mr. Rees came into the courtroom later. He told Judge Feeney that he "needs time to discuss the offer with Jennika's mother. "

Setting of preliminary hearing with a possible change of plea is scheduled for 10/24.
