Brandon Matthew Watson was transferred from High Desert State prison and booked into Humboldt County jail yesterday for a court hearing this morning on his 2018 Humboldt case. That hearing was on for resentencing. It was continued to 7/29 by defense so Ms. Andrea Sullivan could meet with Watson.
Watson's petition for writ of habeas corpus was denied in its entirety by the First District Court of Appeal. In his other appeal, "The judgment is affirmed, except that we vacate Watson's four-year sentence for count 2 and his three-year sentence for the great bodily injury enhancement attached to count 3, and remand this case to the trial court for resentencing consistent with this opinion."
For the full docket, the opinion you have the apellate case number and can go read details. For new readers, who did not read my previous coverage; the opinion will give you basic facts about the 2018 case.
I covered this case extensively and I am not linking every single post. For new readers, I have provided links to the last two posts I did on this case.
