All criminal jury trials in Mendocino suspended until January 8

By order of the Presiding Judge of the Mendocino County Superior Court, all criminal jury trials currently calendared to begin jury selection on December 7, 2020 through and including January 8, 2021 have been suspended.

All trials that were set to begin on and between those dates will NOT take place due to Covid-19 safety concerns and each will in time be reset to a new date by the respective judicial officers to whom each trial was assigned.

If you were subpoenaed by the DA to participate in a Mendocino County criminal trial during this window of time as a VICTIM or a WITNESS and you have questions about what this means to you specifically, your case, and/or your subpoena, please call the DA's Victim/Witness Services Office at (707) 463-4218 beginning next Monday through Friday during regular business hours and ask to speak with a V/W advocate.

Finally, please stay calm and patient.  The DA and his staff remain on the job as primarily ministers of justice and the voice for victims. Despite this and other public health-related setbacks, the wheels of Mendocino County's criminal justice system will continue to turn.
