Received information that three Public Defenders have been tested for COVID 19
Received information that three Public Defenders have been tested for COVID 19. My source is not sure if any have appeared in court. No results from the tests, yet.
I doubt that the County or PD's office will comment due to privacy but I have contacted County PIO Sean Quincey and Public Defender Marek Reavis. Quincey is out of the office until July 13. I emailed CAO Amy Nilsen and HCSO PIO Samantha Karges since she is a part of the Joint Information Center to see if they can comment or direct me to someone else.
I am not asking for names and I realize there are privacy laws but this is both a public safety and employee safety issue.
I heard back from Ms. Karges: "Thanks for reaching out. On behalf of the Joint Information Center, we are unaware of the information you are referencing as it is not something we are given by Public Health as means to do our jobs. That being said, with these just being what you refer to as tests conducted, not positive results, if we were in possession of this type of information we would not be able to discuss it due to privacy concerns."
