EPD officers responding to a call I made to dispatch around 10 did some multi tasking. After addressing the issue at hand, they decided to check out a business alarm going off nearby.
Could have been Subaru, N & S liquors, Pacific Outfitters, any business in that direction. It is dark outside but I recognized one of them as EPD Officer Bram Jansen. Even after the alarm went off, since they were in the neighborhood, they were going to check it out.
I see them responding to calls every day as I walk around. I see them at the Courthouse. I have seen several officers over the years and got to know them and see how much they care about the community and their profession. EPD is one of Eureka's assets and this includes officers, records and dispatch.
A bunch of hands Brinker's against an ever-rising tide of criminal elements with absolutely no help from the city council or the mayor.
