"Excuse me" convicted human trafficker cops an attitude with his attorney a no show for court

Setting of preliminary hearing and status of DA's motions in convicted human trafficker David Anderson's case was rescheduled for this morning. The date was reset to April 22.

Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads had filed a motion to disqualify Michael Acosta as Anderson's attorney. Mr. Michael Acosta is Anderson's attorney.

Today, Deputy DA Carolyn Schaffer appeared in court for the People. Judge Timothy Canning explained to Anderson that his attorney was not in court and why they had to reset the date.

"Excuse me?" said Anderson. In typical Anderson fashion,  he copped an attitude and argued with Judge Canning.

"We don't know why your attorney is not present," said Judge Canning. The court does not have current contact information for Mr. Acosta. The address they have is not valid.

"He is in the phone book," said Anderson. Judge Canning asked Anderson if he could reach out to his attorney.
