"I just know people see Rex's posts & he gets stuff done. "

Eric Jackson posted this on First District Supervisor Rex Bohn's page.

He isn't the only one to have these concerns. There are others dealing with this as well. Most people are appreciative of what law enforcement is doing, even during COVID 19. The lack of action is from the City of Eureka elected officials and specific departments.

Here are few of the questions I asked Eric.

I saw your post on Supervisor Bohn's page. You mentioned the city. Is there a reason you posted on Rex's page and not Eureka City Council or Virginia's page?

"I just know people see Rex's posts & he gets stuff done. The POP was kind of working on getting it cleaned up. They've gotten a couple of vehicles towed & 1 of the two trailers gone. Yet issues still persist. It seems like I either get a call or POP gets back to it once I make my PSA posts. "

Jackson said he is going to contact Fourth District Supervisor Virginia Bass. Jackson said he appreciates what POP does and he understands that law enforcement is busier with COVID 19 but these issues precede COVID 19.

"Yeah, this house has been an issue since last fall. The owner who lives on the property kicked her previous renter out after he had her arrested for being weird on the property. Ever since, she's been in and out of jail, went well over a month plus without h2o & electricity yet had ppl living in trailers, 2 ppl in tents in front yd plus druggies inside."

"Never ending revolving door of traffic. Broken down cars. Yelling at 4:30am over heroin. Trash was piled up waste high in the house before the city got involved. Then, they had it piled in the yd for months before our local powers that be gifted them a dumpster. Which is sad being these fine folks decided to get internet service BEFORE getting h2o back on. "

"The last time the h2o got shut off, they tried to tweeker torch the lock the city puts on. There's a female that lives in the remaining trailer who's a known troublemaker locally. She was booted off the last property she squatted on. She pees & poops in the yd. Plus, the am we called on them at 4:30 about the heroin yelling, she threatened my wife, son & I. Her exact words were "you better watch who you fuck with, you have a kid."

"The owner allows & encourages all the traffic due to her being 5150 & she charges $50-$100 per mo for rent for all the riff Raff to stay. Almost daily there's ppl sleeping on the main st in their vehicle. The rats have now taken over the neighborhood thanks to them & has me buying poison weekly. Myself & the neighbor on the other side of them havent attempted to do backyard work since the fall due to these folks. We've seen needles in their bushes. Broken glass lines the sidewalk in front of their house. The responses from local agencies went from "keep calling & documenting so we can get it boarded up & possibly taken from owner" to "well, the judge needs to have a clear cut case with immediate public health issues."

"Lol. Like the trash, drugs, traffic, needles, rats, not having power or h2o wasn't enough of a reason to shut this place down? Please. The officers & detectives have told us its top 3 problem house in the county & they've had darn near 100 calls since Nov. There was also & possibly still is prostitution activity as well. Known prostitutes frequent over there. Its a sad way to live. The only thing I can think of is the last convo i had with a detective. He said they're also looking into how she acquired this house. Word is(from my wife as well being she's lived in this house since the 80s) that Stephanie the owner was a care taker for the old man who owned the house for his last days. "

"Somehow, she worked her way into getting his house when he died which is supposedly illegal. There is also a neighbor that says she told him that she put the old man out of his misery via pillow over his face. Unfortunately, that's all hearsay as the old man doesn't like to get involved with law enforcement. Imagine the worse neighbors from The Burbs then magnify it by 50!!!"
