5/2/26 9:06 a.m.: HCSO Lt. Jesse Taylor just checked in with me about the Miranda Rescue investigation. I asked one question, not sure he can answer. Lt. Taylor did. "Yes, I can confirm Mr. Miranda was on scene and detained during the course or the warrant being served. "
HCSO also busy with a homicide in Hoopa this morning.
In addition with me trying to update 30 to 40 criminal and civil cases so you can check the blog for updates on Miranda's Rescue and Hoopa homicide.
5/2/26 8:44 a.m. HCSO issues press release. It says nothing other than evidence and ongoing investigation with no specifics. I still have information from Jennifer Raymond. I still have my brief conversation with Shannon. I am still doing follow up. I will not rush and post anything. Shannon Miranda was not arrested. The animals were checked out.
Other media can speak to the pitchfork crowd. HCSO won't release anymore details while the investigation is ongoing; I continue to consult with a lawyer about what Jennifer Raymond told me and protect myself. I did reach out to Shannon but if I were him, I would not talk to anyone until he talks to a lawyer.
Anyone is free to go read whatever else and whoever else you want. I have reported twice, first, original reporting without revealing anything that interfered with HCSO visits twice. Now I will continue my independent follow up.
5/2/26 8:31 a.m: Not sure who is preparing the press release but I am told still in the works and soon.
10:43 p.m. Heard HCSO is working on a press release. I will add it to the post.
9:54 p.m. update: Confirmed, deputies are at Shannon Miranda's property. Should be wrapping up in half an hour. I contacted the Sgt on scene. Not going to say who it is & let other local media profit from my work.
9:30 p.m. Those of you who read my 4/28/26 post on HCSO know that there are some facts and there are some issues. That day, I heard from Shannon himself HCSO was on the way.
I was just given a tip that 8 HCSO vehicles are at Shannon Miranda's. Obviously, if they are, I cannot call Shannon right now and it is a weekend but I have reached out to a few people at HCSO. I was sent brief video which has some issues. The photos are from the video.
This is the April 28 post.
