It isn't your phone; Verizon has a network disruption is being fixed and if you are not affected, be grateful

Thanks to the Verizon specialist who did his job. Local network disruption in Eureka area since 4:38 p.m. Not sure about the rest of Humboldt. 

If you aren't affected, be grateful. Data, internet, phone; one or more unfortunately not working where I am. ETA to be fixed 4:45 a.m. tomorrow. Hard to work and keep people informed. 

What makes it worse is the congestion caused by people. In rural areas, alternatives are limited.

I had to walk a few blocks to make necessary calls and this post. 

Finally, when I could get some service, this isn't just a local issue. It is nationwide. In CA, the slow, intermittent service which other users also experienced starting yesterday should have been our warning.
