13 cases, a pattern of loss; is Kyra Kelly traumatized, a vexatious litigant, cray cray or all of the above?

One is against HCSO lawsuit and alleges civil rights violation, violation of constitutional rights, "malicious police negligence and wronful arrest and a typo "sladerous."

The Big Oil lawsuit is for defamation, libel, slander, emotional and employment grievance. Kelly claims she was falsely arrested for felony embezzlement.

Kelly is representing herself pro per. No attorney listed yet in the lawsuit against HCSO. Local attorney Eric Kirk represents Big Oil and Tire.

There are court documents in that lawsuit and other information and I am not summarizing it again. In my April 13 post, I mentioned those two lawsuits were related. She mentioned the Pomrehn family in filings I included in the April 13 post.

I had a feeling there were more lawsuits. While I do not have time, I had a reason to check my hunch.

Kelly was arrested in January 2025 for carrying a loaded firearm in public and embezzlement. Those criminal charges were filed against her by the DA on 1/16/26. She was arraigned on those charges on 4/20. There is a preliminary hearing on 4/30. Alleged victim 76 gas station. The Pomrehn family owns several 76 gas stations in Humboldt County.

She filed two petitions seal. Both were denied. Kelly has has a dismissal in TR2307923 dismissal after proof of correction and a conviction in TR1808444.

There is a lawsuit by F. Kelly against the City of Arcata and it was dismissed.

She has two defamation cases each against Two defamation cases for Brandon Pomrehn and Richard Pomrehn CV2600113, CV2600112, CV2600089 and CV2600088. There are CMCs on 7/10 and 7/20. I have included the demurrer Eric Kirk has filed for Richard Pomrehn.

I did include the documents for the Pomrehns which if you read my April 13 post include the same basic allegations and narrative.

I do not know Kyra Kelly or the Pomrehns. I do know Eric Kirk and that includes what I think of him based on 12 + years of covering Humboldt Superior Court. Based on just these court documents, the number of cases filed by Kelly, my experiences in Humboldt and daily coverage of Humboldt courts; these are my observations and opinion.

1. Is Kyra Kelly traumatized and standing up for herself? Possibly. There isn't enough information yet in her criminal or civil cases to definitively say yes or no. Even if she is, wasting court time and resources and lashing out at everyone else and blaming everyone else is the wrong way to deal with it. I don't know if Kelly cannot afford an attorney; chances are no reputable attorney would represent her.

2. Is Kelly a vexatious litigant? Yes. Why she has been allowed to file so many cases and will a Humboldt judge put a stop to this. So far, the only one with guts to legally declare a vaxatious litigant is Humboldt Superior Assistant Presiding Judge Timothy Canning and that person is Analia Martinez. Did it change her behavior. She has been sitting in jail and picked up a 2026 case and her family has not posted bond2

3.  Is Kelly cray cray? Possibly. Same response and reasons as # 1.

4. Does Kelly have a clue about the law? No. Throwing out words like slander and defamation does not make it a fact.

I have covered cases no one else does because I like the public to be informed. Businesses, individuals, lawyers and anyone exposed obviously do not like their dirty laundry exposed. In addition to all the reasons and challenged I have mentioned several times; there is a daily danger because vexatious litigants such as Analia Martinez and I hope Kelly is declared one too and Aunna Bollman should have been all start obsessing and acting out against me, lawyers and others.

If  someone is making a mockery of the court, the law, then imagine having them as a neighbor or co-worker.

Humboldt's court and law enforcement and unfortunately me writing about people I want to warn the community about bear the brunt of the failure of society's ills and Humboldt enabling of bad behavior and failure to realize that trauma, mental health needs to sometimes be mandatory. The judges, attorneys, law enforcement, others get paid to put up with this darkness and toxic negativity. I don't.

The people who know Kelly failed her. Don't send me emails for context. I don't know how Kelly will react to this post.

There are many in Humboldt who misuse and abuse the court system for their drama and because they don't know how to be adults, considerate or look within.

Kyra, I have plenty of reasons to sue many in Humboldt. The difference is I look at reality and suing several people who are broke or collecting a judgement is a waste of time.

Kyra, even if you have a valid claim, as you have said yourself, this is a small County. Justice isn't always delivered and it isn't blind. Having your day in court could backfire.

I don't know who your Deputy Public Defender is but I hope that next week when your preliminary hearing is scheduled, that if you need help, your attorney gets you the resources you need. You might want to focus on your criminal case. Of course, to get help, you have to listen. 

13 cases and there is a pattern of you losing. Kyra, I am not a social worker nor do I enable. I could have called you out in my last post. I didn't have to check the 11 other cases. I made a choice not to say what I did in this post and I could have been harsher. 

People like you jam up the courts for others who have valid claims and whose freedom literally depends on their day in court. Humboldt Superior Court is now just postponing cases, day by day, for the same reason or no reason three or four times a week.
