This morning, Humboldt Superior Court Judge Lawrence Killoran sentenced convicted molestor and sexual batterer Jarred Vaughan to 4 years in prison. He has 641 custody credits.
Vaughan resolved his case before preliminary hearing. He pleaded guilty to Count 3, PC 261 .5 (c) unlawful sexual intercourse; Count 4 PC 261. 5 (d) unlawful sexual intercourse ; Count 5 PC 287 (b) oral copulation with a minor and Count 6 PC 287 (b) (2) oral copulation. Counts 1, 2, and 7 were dismissed.
Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is the prosecutor for this case. Deputy Conflict Counsel Zach Curtis is Vaughan's attorney.
