I reported on convicted sexual batterer Arda Kizilay's plea on February 18. There are exclusive details in my February 19 post about what Jane Doe endured and my observation in court which indicates Kizilay lives "far away". I have also provided links to previous coverage. As usual, I was the first to report on his arrest and then regularly follow the case through the court process.
Kizilay resolved his case before the preliminary hearing but 17 days in jail which includes conduct credits and two years probation for what he did is what is wrong with California and the criminal justice system.
I have included court minutes from sentencing today by Judge Lawrence Killoran. Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is the prosecutor for this case. Ms. Kathleen Bryson is Kizilay's attorney.
