Yesterday, convicted molestor and sexual batterer Jarred Vaughan resolved his 2025 case before preliminary hearing. Humboldt Superior Court Judge Lawrence Killoran took his plea.
Deputy DA Carolyn Schaffer's motion for second amended complaint was granted. Vaughan entered a guilty plea to Counts 3,4,5 and 6. Counts 1,2,7 were dismissed by the People.
Deputy Conflict Counsel Zach Curtis is Vaughan's attorney. Sentencing is on 3/10.
3/10/26: Sentencing continued by defense to 3/24 for referral to probation for terms; granted over objection by the People.
