Will this latest attempt resolve the Maziar Eshghipour case?

Status of a written ruling by Judge Lawrence Killoran was scheduled  this morning in Maziar Eshghipour's case. Judge Killoran had already filed the ruling prior to today.

There was discussion at the last hearing about how property of third parties had been seized by the District Attorney's office.  Mr. David Michael represents third party petitioners.  He claims that there is a procedure that the DA's office did not follow in seizing property belonging to Eshghipour's family members.

Nader Eshghipour is the third party listed on today's calendar with a civil case. Mr. David did not appear via court call  as he did at the last hearing

Eshghipour has retained Mr. Patrik Griego and Mr. Greg Rael. Both were in court today.

Before court, Mr. Griego told me, Mr. David's request for order to show case granted had  been granted. That hearingis scheduled for  April 3.

The District  Attorney has to show basis why they took money from Eshghipour's family members or return the money.

Deputy District Attorney Tobias Hasler is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy DA Stacey Eads appeared in court for him today as he was busy with a preliminary hearing.

Mr. Rael and Mr. Griego spoke with Mr.Haslerbefore court, they are meeting tomorrow to discuss if they can resolve the case. There have been previous attempts to reach a plea that were unsuccessful.

Intervention for Maziar Eshghipour's criminal case is scheduled for June 2; preliminary hearing for June 10.
