Judson Stiglich out thanks to Prop 57?

By Monday, hopefully more than one official source  will confirm why Judson Stiglich got out early when he was supposed to serve a prison sentence.

One explaination could be Prop 57.  Stiglich had custody credits from the local jail before he started serving his prison sentence. He could have earned  good time credits in prison. Link below explains changes in parole and how credits are applied.

I checked if Stiglich appealed his sentence. He did not. Court clerks and staff closed offices early this Friday at noon so accessing the file was not possible. You have to wait 24 hours  due to our "local'" court rule even if they were open. Jail staff has limited information on an inmate past records.

With no court information online,  with jail reports not being posted online until the next day and jail reports not being posted on weekends, chasing down information on a Friday or weekend is challenge in a small, rural community that doesn't receive the funding for adequate staff or software. But Sacramento has no problem expecting local law enforcement to keep dealing with a revolving door of repeat criminals who keep getting a slap on the wrist thanks to Prop 47 and 57.
