Steve Hilton is just another out of touch rich guy with no clue about bread and butter issues. I do like Matt Mahan but he is a moderate Democrat, his party is soft on crime and I don't think he is tough enough to tell them to take a hike. I want law and order in California and the reversal of years of failed laws.
Just this morning, two Humboldt court cases were continued to tomorrow. More will be by the end of the day.
This is happening daily for various reasons on various cases. In the Hoopa murder case, the reasons are valid. Inmates like Felix Arbaugh refusing to come to court is the nonsense that only California puts up with; if you refuse to come to court & think that is flex, you should lose your right to a speedy trial, lose your time waiver. Criminals who think they run the system in California will only change their tune when there are consequences.
Yesterday, Humboldt Superior Court Presiding Judge Kelly Neel called the Courtroom 4 calendar and the Courtroom 6 calendar since Judge April Van Dyke was not in yesterday.
