Convicted child molestor Jonathan Pulse resolves case, advised there maybe sexually violent predator proceedings filed against him in the future

Days before his jury trial which would have started tomorrow, at trial confirmation on 9/26, Jonathan Pulse resolved his case with a guilty plea to Count 2 PC 288 (a) lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of14. Count 1 PC 288.7 (b) was dismissed. There is a stipulation to 12 year prison sentence and registration as a sex offender. Pulse was advised of possible court proceedings against him in the future to determine if he is a sexually violent predator. Sentencing is on 10/23.

Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is the prosecutor for this case. Deputy Conflict Counsel Zachary Curtis is Pulse's attorney.

Since this is a stipulated prison term and I have covered the plea, I will add sentencing court minutes to this post as I have in other cases unless the DA issues a press release after sentencing or there is some new development.

10/23: Sentencing continued to 10/25.
