"COVID and the holidays" impact ability to find jurors

Murder suspect Brandon Watson's jury trial was scheduled before Judge Christopher Wilson and there was a hearing today regarding scheduling. The case has been assigned to Judge Lawrence Killoran.

Ms. Andrea Sullivan is Watson's attorney. Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees is the prosecutor for the case.

In the post linked below on the last hearing is information on the People and defense offers. The family members of the alleged victims want a life sentence and the People are only interested in a resolution that includes life.

Judge Wilson is meeting with attorneys in chambers right now. He is familiar with the case.

There is a hearing scheduled on Thursday to see when jury selection may be able to start and that could change depending on what happens in chambers. If there is a hearing Thursday, that update will be added to this post.

Judge Wilson said "COVID and the holidays" impact ability to find jurors.
