The Brandon Watson jury trial was just continued minutes ago. They had two days of jury selection with individual jurors being questioned. Ms. Andrea Sullivan made a motion to continue the trial based on COVID 19 related court closures. There was no objection by Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees. Finding good cause, Judge Lawrence Killoran granted the defense motion.
Trial setting is on January 13, 2020. Humboldt criminal jury trials are being reset due to the pandemic. See press release from yesterday.
