District Attorney adds more charges against former therapist Edward Pena



Former marriage and family therapist Edward Pena was held to answer to 9 counts after his preliminary hearing. The State Attorney General's motion to restrict his license had been granted previously.

Pena is scheduled to be arraigned on information on March 9. The District Attorney has charged him with 14 counts for the jury trial.

3/9 update: Trial confirmation is on 4/13; jury trial on 4/27.

3/10 update: Deputy Public Defender Wade Orbelian filed a motion for mental health diversion. Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees is the prosecutor for this case. The People oppose the motion. An evidentiary hearing is scheduled for March 18.
