Criminal proceedings suspended for murder and kidnapping suspect Ryan Tanner

Intervention and bail review was held this afternoon for murder and kidnapping suspect Ryan Tanner. Preliminary hearing scheduled for March 3 was vacated.

After reviewing discovery and meeting with Tanner, Mr. Russ Clanton "declared doubt" and requested a PC 1368 evaluation for Tanner. "I am withdrawing bail motions at this time but I reserve the right to demurrer."  The bail review was also vacated from the calendar without prejudice.

Judge Kaleb Cockrum appointed Dr. Wilson. Criminal proceedings are suspended. Doctor's report is due March 23.

Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees was present in court for the People. Deputy DA Adrian Kamada is the prosecutor for the case.
