Supreme Court overturned CA law requiring clinics and centers to notify clients about abortion services

In a 5-4 ruling today the U.S. Supreme Court overturned a decision on California law by the Ninth Circuit and sent the case back for further consideration.

The California law required clinics and pregnancy centers that counsel women against abortion to notify clients of the availability of abortions paid for by the state.

The U.S. Supreme Court  justices said the centers are likely to succeed in their claim that the law violates the First Amendment.
