Another arrest for a stolen vehicle in Humboldt

On June 13, 2018, at about 9 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence located on the 1200 block of Allard Ave., in the county jurisdiction of Eureka, for the report of a disturbance about a vehicle.



When deputies arrived on scene, they located 23-year-old Matthew Lee Cook of Eureka sitting in a running vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Eureka. The vehicle had damaged a portion of the residence’s fence prior to deputies’ arrival.

Cook was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle.
