Jury trial confirmed for murder suspect Gearold Sotolongo

Trial confirmation for homicide suspect Gearold Sotolongo was scheduled for June 27. Jury trial scheduled for August 6 was confirmed.



A further trial confirmation is scheduled for July 30.

Jury trial estimate was 4 to 6 weeks. Today, that estimate was changed to 5 weeks. Sotolongo is charged with the death of Roger Yale.

Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees is prosecuting the case. Deputy Public Defender Luke Brownfield is representing Sotolongo.
