AT & T update(6:40 p.m.):
Some wireless customers in parts of Northern California may be experiencing issues with their service due to damage caused by wildfires.
We are working to restore service as quickly as conditions allow. Our Network Disaster Recovery and local network teams are deploying a number of resources, including temporary cell sites to the area.
Update from First District Supervisor Rex Bohn: (5:40 p.m.)
AT &T just called me. I have been talking to Sacramento and Santa Rosa folks all day. They are proceeding on rerouting our service but some facilities have been damaged in what is gong to be arguably one of the worst fires/disasters to hit our neighbors to the South and they are having access problems getting to the facilities.
Today US Cellular phone worked calling to and from McK US Cell from HW80, I5 AND HW299. Maybe they contracted for redundancy. Daughter's cheap T-mobile not working—but that is nothing new. I hear if you pay extra to AT&T you can buy redundancy. 400 are without landline here and no word today on if/when it gets fixed. PG&E power out twice, including the Blue Lake Fire. Good deal CDF hammered that fire with 4 engine jet air tankers from RDD or it could have consumed all of Blue Lake...

DeleteZoillner story has disappeared from your site....I wonder why?
ReplyDeleteIt has not disappeared. It is still there. The photos are just in a different place.
DeleteMy reporting of this case has been the same since April; factual. Some of the very same people on Zoellner's side who had no issue with my reporting before have been trolling, sending abusive messages after this post. News and facts don't change. Some people see things with a filter of their feelings.
