Latest update: 50 killed, 400 people injured.UPDATE at 1:43 a.m. | Sherrif Joe Lombardo reports that at least 20 people are dead, and more than 100 are injured.
Police say the shooting began at 10:08 p.m. on Sunday on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay. The suspect opened fire from his hotel room. The suspect is dead, and police are seeking his companion--a woman named Marilou Danley. Police say her player's card was found inside the room. She is described as an Asian woman, 4'11" and 111lbs. Anyone with any information on her whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
Police are seeking two vehicles of interest as well. The first car is described as a Hyundai Tuscon, Nevada plate 114B40. The second vehicle is a Chrysler Pacifica Touring, Nevada plate 19D401.
UPDATE 1:20 a.m. | Bakersfield Police Department reports one of their officers was shot during this incident. According to Associated Press, several officers from their department were in town attending the festival.
