Guy runs in traffic, then jumps into someone else's truck to flee from EPD

I was walking on 4th street. See a shirtless guy running in the middle of traffic on 4th street in Eureka. I see two EPD vehicles pull up. He doesn't listen to Officer Soltow, runs around the Simple Visions truck and then jumps into the bed of someone's grey RAM 1500 truck.

He is now being taken to the hospital and then probably to jail. Sgt. Leonard LaFrance, Sgt. Eddie Wilson and few other offices responded. Check out the charges he was booked for and if it had not been for EPD, there could have been several tragedies.

Jacob Nicholas Richards was booked on two counts of PC 490.1(a) petty theft, VC 12500 (a) driving a motor vehicle without a valid license, VC 23152 (f) driving under the combined influence of alcohol and drugs, PC 594(b)(2)(a) vandalism or graffiti, PC 594 (b) (1) vandalism or graffiti and two counts of PC 647 (f) public intoxication.
