Humboldt County lost to Allison Jackson in the Magney vs Adult Protective Services lawsuit, last October. The publication of the decision got national media attention. Link listed below will get you caught up.

Humboldt County settled with HUMMAP. Listed below are just two of the links to my coverage.

The County also settled a lawsuit in 2013 with HUMCPR. The attorney for HUMCPR was Allison Jackson. Wendy Chaitin was County Counsel at that time and named as a defendant in the lawsuit. The County had to hire private attorneys to represent them.

Currently, a lawsuit has been filed by Mr. Patrik Griego, on behalf of several defendants regarding the recent hire of Humboldt County Public Defender David Marcus.
