Regarding yesterday's Blocksburg pot form "raid" or "enforcement" depending on your perspective, according to a source, "That farm in Blocksburg was not permitted. They submitted registration paperwork only."
I called HCSO for comment and was told a press release will be out later today.
A couple higher up's beg to differ..

ReplyDeleteThis is a story still being investigated, but if you have information, you know my email.
John: As I understand it, the application period is still pending, and people have turned in applications, to include the folks associated with this property. Their story on LoCO never inferred to me that they had gotten any permits. Has anybody yet? If not, and law enforcement is going to use this application process to conduct criminal investigations before the permits are issued, then there will be problems. That is a clear and unmistakable statement to the cannabis farmers "don't bother tying to get a permit because we will go after you before you get it, and if you try and get a permit then you are just feeding us the necessary intel." If that is what is going on, then I think it is disingenuous to encourage people to get these permits. The prior law, which was incredibly short on details was terrible for anyone to know what really to do, and that goes for law enforcement and the prosecution, as well as the cannabis farmer. This law is an improvement. In fact a vast improvement. Both sides must allow it to work. Law enforcement just rejects the idea of the Medical Marijuana law, and this action shows their disdain.
ReplyDeleteAllan, I am going to refer you to the press release by the Sheriff's office released late afternoon.
DeleteThe story on Kim's site has a couple statements from different people..Have you read it??
ReplyDeleteYes, I have. Humboldt County Sheriff's office has since released a press release. Read that.
DeleteAs a general rule, I do not give credibility to anonymous commenters and am still doing research on this but HCSO's press release gives more details.

Ya I dont know if I would trust the press release either..If the law enforcement was in the wrong they are not going to admit to it..
ReplyDeleteYou are entitled to that opinion but so far, the facts point to a spin by the consultant and their client. People that have followed the permit process properly have not had issues.
