San Diego already has one; now Sacramento region also establishes a Task force against human trafficking

 


Tomorrow morning, there is a press conference to announce a new task  force to combat human trafficking in the Sacramento region.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta,Sacramento County District Attorney Thien Ho, Department of Justice; Sacramento Police Chief Kathy Lester; and Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Tatum King, California Assemblymember Maggy Krell and California Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen will be present.

There is already a Task Force against human trafficking in  San Diego. It is a collaboration involving the California Department of Justice/Attorney General's Office, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, California Highway Patrol, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, National City Police Department, San Diego City Attorney's Office, San Diego District Attorney's Office, San Diego County Probation Department (SDCPD), San Diego Sheriff's Department, San Diego Police Department, United States Attorney's Office, Southern District of California. Other supporting agencies to include Carlsbad Police Department, Chula Vista Police Department, Coronado Police Department, Escondido Police Department, Immigration and Customs Enforcement/Enforcement and Removal Operations, Internal Revenue Service, La Mesa Police Department, Naval Criminal Investigative Service, Oceanside Police Department, San Diego Unified School District Police Department, United States Customs & Border Protection, San Diego Sector Border Patrol and the United States Marshals Service.
