Felliciano Valentin arrested for sexual battery and lewd act on a minor

  

Felliciano Emiliano Valentin was arrested last night by Fortuna Police Department for PC 288 (a) lewd act on a minor and PC 243.4(a) sexual battery.

Valentin was arraigned 1/3/25;  $20,000 bail; Public Defender's office appointed and a criminal protective order served in court. On 1/13/25, defense motion to continue preliminary was granted; rescheduled for 2/25/25.

2/25/25: Preliminary hearing continued by defense due to discovery 4/21/25.

4/21/25: Preliminary hearing continued by defense to 5/27.

5/27/25: Preliminary hearing continued by defense to 7/29.

7/29/25: Preliminary hearing continued to 8/18 because no interpreter.

8/18/25: Prelim continued by defense due to outstanding discovery. Setting of preliminary hearing & confirmation of receipt of discovery scheduled for 9/8.

9/8/25: Defense confirms receipt of discovery; preliminary hearing on 10/27.

10/27/25: Preliminary hearing continued stipulation by stipulation. DA will discuss defense offer with Jane Doe. Setting of preliminary /change of plea on 11/3.

11/3/25: No resolution; people's offer of 12 years for PC 288.5 remain open until preliminary hearing on 11/17.

11/17/25:  Preliminary hearing continued by DA to 2/9/26 due to possible discovery issues.
