Like most people in Humboldt, I have a few go to coffee places I frequent on a regular basis. It is rare to find employees of these places recommend another coffee shop to me and one name comes up consistently

Like most people in Humboldt, I have a few go to coffee places I frequent on a regular basis. It is rare that employees would recommend another coffee shop to me. One name comes up consistently. 

When I also see local business owners I have known for years go out of their daily route for a cup of joe; I knew it was time to check out Stu's Brews. 

Stu's Brews is a drive thru coffee shop located at 71 W. 4th street in Eureka. It is owned by Aaron and Victoria Salles and offers organic coffee, tea, smoothies, bagels, breakfast and lunch sandwiches.

Locally owned, the Salles support other local and regional businesses including Los Bagels, Nonna Lena's, Diane's and Northbound Coffee Roasters.

Like most businesses, they have a social media presence but one of their customers and fellow business owners specifically asked me to write about them. Not everyone is on social media and in Humboldt, that includes a large paying demographic. I often promote local businesses to customers that aren't being reached or targeted elsewhere. 

I got to meet Aaron and Victoria today. Chatted with them over cappuccino. Good coffee, good people who support other local businesses.
