This afternoon while many families gathered with their children to enjoy a sunny afternoon at the park, this group of individuals decided to engage in other activities in the nearby creek.
Caleb Davidson (age 25 of Fortuna), Marcus Hills (age 28 of Fortuna), Marcus McCain (age 51 of Fortuna), Melissa Ocallaghan (age 33 of Fortuna), Kelly Rezabeck (age 51 of Fortuna), and Dustin Westfall (age 54 of Fortuna) were arrested for possession of Heroin.
Marcus Hills and Melissa Ocallaghan were also arrested on several warrants.
As a result of the “Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act” (Proposition 47) possession of heroin is a citable misdemeanor and all subjects were released with with a promise to appear (citation).
Whoppee the current DHHS free needles and paraphernalia handouts program by the County of STUPID comes to provide all the stuff needed (minus Heroin) to shoot up.And to be a misdemeanor with no drug rehab classes or community service required by the court is ludicrous. ROOR is useless and a waste of breath. Why mot parade these people down main street and show what addiction does for your life and the negative affects???
