Town officials cannot do anything about business owner giving them the finger
Ted Pelkey, a business owner from Westford, Vermont spent more than $4,000 to build a sculpture of a middle finger on his front lawn to spite town officials.
Pelkey did this because of ongoing issues with town officials to obtain permit to build a garage on his property.
Town officials cannot do anything because while billboards are banned in Vermont, Pelkey’s gesture is protected because it isn’t advertising a business or service.
