Did Josh Pearlston hit the woman walking on Fernbridge on November 27?

I received a few messages last night.
Then this morning another reader sent me this message below with specifics. All these are from different people, wanting to know if this is true.

"Hey John I heard that the hit and run on Fernbridge recently, that caused major injuries to a woman pedestrian ~ was actual hit by Josh Pearlston, Marcie Kitchen's old boy friend.  And that he actually turned him self in later.  I heard it from the victims sister's boyfriend.  Could you research that and see if it is true?  It's seemed to disappear from all our news outlets.  Thank you."

I have asked the victim's family to contact me directly. Through the reader who contacted me, the victim's sister's boyfriend said he does not "know the date Josh turned himself in, only that his new girlfriend talked him into doing it."

Since the sister's boyfriend does not have the date or any other information about what agency Josh Pearlston may have turned himself in, I have contacted CHP as well as District Attorney Maggie Fleming and HCSO. I dont recall a press release regarding the incident.

I also asked the reader to have the victims' family contact me directly.

According to HCSO PIO Samantha Karges, "We do not currently have a Josh Pearlston booked into our facility, nor has he been booked recently into our facility."

CHP PIO Officer Paul.Craft is out of the area for training. He directed me to contact a supervisor. I am waiting for CHP Officer Harvey to call back. requested a press release as well as specifically about the Josh Pearlston question.

If CHP has the side mirror from the suspect vehicle, they have fingerprints.
