Judge denies bail to Charles Gay booked for possession of heroin and marijuana, see why

On 02/19/16 at about 1:15 a.m., Officers with the Eureka Police Department responded to the 3300 block of Broadway for the report of a male passed out in his parked vehicle.  While checking the welfare of the male, Officers located a bag containing 6.4 ounces of Heroin in plain sight.

The male eventually woke up and was identified as Charles Gay, 41 of Eureka.  While searching the vehicle, Officers located over a pound of Marijuana, a large amount of cash, and scales.

Gay was transported and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for possession of a controlled substance for sales, transportation of a controlled substance, possession of Marijuana for sales, probation violation, and committing a felony while out on bail. Gay was out on bail for his Tuesday arrest made by the Eureka Police POP team.

Officers contacted a Humboldt County Superior Court Judge and requested a bail enhancement.  The Judge reviewed the charges and denied Gay the ability to post bail.
