Supervisor Estelle Fennell was in Sacramento this week. She gave me a brief update on her meeting at the BOE in Sacramento. Photos are from Supervisor Fennell.
"Wednesday's meeting at the Board of Equalization in Sacramento explored the concept of "Track and Trace" programs for the commercial production of Medical Cannabis.
The overflow crowd heard presentations from a couple of vendors as well as officials from Colorado and Washington State.
Following on the passage of the Medical Marijuana Regulation and Safety Act (MMRSA) California will now have to decide what approach to take and the workshop on Wednesday was just the beginning of that process.
The pictures show vendors attaching their tags to a cannabis plant provided by a local dispensary."
