Georgia's Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has launched an investigation after officials discovered a discrepancy in their post-election checks changing the current unofficial outcome of one of the state House
He did this after a memory card was discovered containing several hundred uncounted 2026 Election Day votes from Seminole County voters.
For those who need a refresher course in facts, Raffensperger is the one who refused a plea by Donald Trump to find more votes after the 2020 elections.
The discovery of the votes changed the Republican incumbent's 58-vote deficit into a 262-vote lead. This means the seat could flip back to the GOP if certified by county officials before Monday's deadline.
"Every vote matters, and in a close election, even a relatively small number of unreported ballots can change the outcome," said Raffensperger.
