Joshua Forrest Neff aka Joshua F Neff aka Joshua Neff had a jury trial scheduled this morning in a 2025 case where he is charged with Count 1 battery and Count 2 criminal threats. Neff is represented by Mr. Paul Gallegos. The trial is trailing for assignment and was continued to 4/9 because no judge and no courtroom was available.
The alleged victim in this 2025 criminal case is Rio Torrey SavageClanton. Local attorney Russ Clanton son on FB is RioSavage.
In Humboldt Superior Court, there are different cases and some list Neff's full name, some just middle initial and some first and last name. One of those cases list Joshua Neff as the owner of the Minor Theater.
I had reported on Neff's 2024 arrest and a followup post that the DA rejected the Arcata Police Department report and that no charges had been filed. That arrest was Joshua Neff, the owner of the Minor Theater confirmed to me by family.

A minute order granted in this 2025 case by Visiting and Retired Judge Ksenia Tsenin was stricken by Humboldt Presiding Judge Kelly Neel.
SavageClanton had a TRO granted in a 2024 civil harassment case by Commisioner Sarah Kaber. Later at the hearing to see if that restraining order would be permanent, Commissioner Kaber denied the petition and the TRO was dissolved. Neff was also represented by Mr. Gallegos in that case.
