Restraining order granted against Cornelius Lowenstein aka Cornelius Ravenstein requested by his neighbor in Trinidad

On 4/2/25, in CV2500321 Jon Roberson's request for a civil harassment restraining order against Cornelius Lowenstein was granted by Judge Timothy Canning. A temporary restraining granted was previously granted by Commissioner Sarah Kaber.

Cornelius has a Facebook profile Cornelius Ravenstein and his name is listed in some court documents in this case as Cornelius Ravenstein but he signed another document as Cornelius Loewenstein. The minutes do not state for how long the restraining order was granted for and the order was not in court when I checked on 4/4/25.

I thought about sitting in the court for the hearing but did not have time to waste on Cornelius and had other work to do. I just happened to see the case on calendar.

At 11 a.m. I saw him out on 5th street in front of the courthouse. Even before I checked court documents, I could tell Cornelius lost. He looked shocked that he had been held accountable.

Cornelius didn't say anything to me because HCSO Lt. Mike Fridley was with me. I was not paying attention to the two guys standing with Cornelius because I was talking with Lt. Fridley. Most likely, it was Stephen Parr and James Graham since they are often together like the three stooges of Humboldt County. I saw them get into a car.

 A few minutes later, I was walking by myself near Eureka City Hall and Cornelius yelled" you are disgusting john chiv" from the car. The other guy yelled another insult. I did not recognize the voice because I have only seen Parr and Graham a few times. Cornelius has a very distinct voice and accent. I don't care what these losers think.

Cornelius, Graham, Olivia Baddeley and others who support Cornelius had a different opinion about me before. When I report what is not convenient to them and factual; they attack. Yet, there was a time that they felt differently. There are others in Humboldt who have lashed out too instead of looking in the mirror. I could go into more names mentioned in the court documents but I don't need to; no one cares about what the drama seeking local clique who sit home all day posting on online forums and pages says or thinks. There is a lot of misdirected anger in Humboldt.

You can read the court minutes and court documents I have provided. I have not including pages and pages of exhibits filed by Cornelius of online gossip and unsubstantiated claims which he or his supporters think is evidence. 

Cornelius has thanked me personally and in court for my coverage of sexually violent predator Joshua Cooley which is just one example of the many cases I risked covering in 11 years. James Graham has thanked me on Facebook and shared my coverage of arrests because I was the first to report and regularly cover  Clinton Monroe Ellis-Gilmore. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence weren't happy with me but that is their problem. It is news and I don't do selective coverage because of your status or any other group that thinks I should look the other way.

Cornelius submits 707 classifieds and unsubstantiated claims by people online about Roberson which are not corroborated by court records. 

You will recognize some of the names in Cornelius' court documents since they are frequent online local commenters. Gossip and claims on local online forums and pages are not fact or evidence. 

According to the most recent court documents, Cornelius does not live in Eureka. Years ago, I heard through an acquaintance of mine who knows Dennis Mayo well that he had helped Cornelius out with a place to stay. That would be in Mckinleyville. Cornelius blames others for the loss of his Eureka business. He couldn't hold on to his job at City Cab. Why? As of last November, Cornelius was still ranting at Eureka City Council meetings. Cornelius you don't live in Eureka so go comment at Trinidad City Council meetings. 

The other two stooges hanging out with him at Eureka City Council meetings and rambling the same nonsense on Facebook are Stephen Parr and James Graham. I have all three blocked. The court system has no addresses for old cases for Parr and Graham. You can see the list of their court cases for yourself. 

Thank you Judge Canning and Commissioner Kaber. There are many people who have had experiences with Cornelius. They are scared. They reached out to me after this post.

Restraining orders are meaningless. This is based on arrest records and court records and my coverage of Humboldt Superior Court for 11 years.  Two recent examples are the many violations by Analia Martinez and Sean Lundy and they got mental health diversion.

Obviously this restraining order did not change Cornelius' behavior. None of you defenders of Cornelius or Cornelius have done anything meaningful for survivors of sexual abuse other than use victims to target others and get attention. 

Anyone who reads my blog knows how many cases I have covered for victims of sexual abuse and assault. Cornelius and the haters attacking me don't have the cajones to take on the corruption and local power and systems. They should leave that to the brave men and women of law enforcement and the prosecutors who have actually made a difference in the lives of victims.

I received a lot of abusive, threatening emails in January 2025 from people who claim to be Cornelius defenders. Anons can claim anything and to be anyone. I saved them. I also received a couple of harassing, threatening emails from someone who is not as clever picking the name on these multiple email accounts and leaving obvious clues. These have been documented and reported to authorities. These people are so stupid, they will probably  repeat the mistake and provide me more documentation. 

And they did. They are predictable. 

4/6/25:

Woke up to 7 emails on Sunday. That was the first barrage from Olivia Baddeley and 6 from Mrytlewood Liquors and John's Cigars account which was unsigned. More in spam folder that just got deleted. Some I saved. Who has time to send over 15 plus emails on a Sunday morning in 3 hours? I stopped counting.

If it was the owner of Mrytlewood Liquors who did email me. This is who is listed as the owner.

Same last name as the Olivia Baddeley who testified for Cornelius in court and has emailed me many times.John Baddeley and Olivia Baddeley related? Whoever emailed me had three hours to waste on a Sunday morning. 

The Myrtlewood Liquor address also appears on a 2016 conviction for a John Alfred Baddeley for assault. I believe father & son from Myrtlewood may have the same first name. Another good ole boy, local generational business owner with a criminal record. 

There is a record of this kind of obsessive behavior and constant emailing by Cornelius to Eureka City Council members. 

Others warned me yesterday to be careful. To those who took the time to reach out. Thank you.

Cornelius and his "supporters" spewed unsunstantiated rumors about Jon Roberson. Judge Canning did not take their posts down due to the first amendment. That does not mean they are facts or evidence or true.

I provided court records and they think they can sue me. Olivia, don't throw out names of a local business owner who I know and can contact me directly if she wishes or some church. All you do is rant and make unsubstantiated claims. I am not reading your numerous emails.

Cornelius'  and his so called witnesses were found not credible in a court of law by a judge. Judge Canning granted the restraining order.

4/7/25: I checked with the clerk who said Judge Canning did not specify how long the restraining order is for but usually it is three years. The civil supervisor checked the records said the same thing. She also told me the paperwork has a firearm restriction. This is the order that was entered in e court and visible to the public after I spoke with both of them.
