Forcible rape suspect Troy Friedman was held to answer as charged by Judge Kaleb Cockrum after his preliminary hearing on 4/9. Arraignment on information is on 4/18.
Deputy District District Attorney Whitney Timm is the prosecutor for this case. Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin is Friedman's attorney.

7/8/25 : Readiness Conference continued by defense to 7/10 with a defense motion to continue jury trial.
7/10/25: Defense motion to continue granted by Judge Lawrence Killoran. 7/14 date vacated. Readiness Conference rescheduled for 10/2; jury trial 10/13.
10/2/25: At the Readiness Conference, the jury trial was confirmed after defense oral motion to continue was denied. Subpoenaed records from Open Door were provided to Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin. Court minutes state defense plans to file written motion to continue the trial currently scheduled for 10/13.

10/27/25: Jury trial continued to 10/28; no judge/no courtroom.
10/28/25: Jury trial continued to 11/3 because no judge and no courtroom available.
11/3/25: Jury trial continued to 11/4; no judge and no courtroom available.
11/4/25: No judge, no courtroom available. Readiness on 12/16/25; jury trial on 2/23/26.
