How many parcels does developer and local hotel owner Shailesh Patel own on Brodway besides Home2Suites?

 

Shailesh Patel, a developer associated with Eureka properties and the registered agent for SJN Hospitality LLC may sound familiar to those who followed the Home2Hilton Suites from the initial news about the project to the opening of the hotel.

This is just one of the many public documents you can find about 2112 Broadway on the corner of Broadway and West Hawthorne.

APN 007-011, 002 and 005 are referred in the City of Eureka document.

Mr. Patel has boight property which is across the street from Home2Suites and was verified to a credible source. This is from a tip I received from yesterday. That person told me Mr. Patel had bought the property where Motel 6 is located which is on 1934 Broadway and there are plans to develop it but "everything seems to be hush hush." Many people in the real estate, financial and legal fields have various different programs that can identify property owners and sales. The tipster checked one of these programs and could not find any information.

The source who confirmed the purchase told me local title companies are "about three months behind. This is why verifying what Mr. Patel bought or did not buy was not possible today. I checked some other recent sales at the Humboldt Assessor's office and the old owner is still listed.

Another source in the know also confirmed Mr. Patel did buy property recently. What I could not confirm with my second source yet was that my first source told me that he heard Mr. Patel also bought property near the Dodge dealership. 

Mr. Patel has no email, the phone number on Humboldt Lodging Alliance takes you to Hampton Inn reservations and when I called that number, the person said he was just a reservation agent and could not assist me.

Mr. Patel is a Humboldt Lodging Alliance member and the owner of Hampton Inns, Arcata.

Mr. Shailesh Patel's wife is Jayshree Patel who is listed as owner of Comfort Inn Eureka and his son is Nil Patel who is listed as owner of  Holiday Inn Express in Eureka. There are different LLCs for the properties.
