Convicted felon Jackson Parrott is no stranger to law enforcement. His name is familiar to readers and anyone who pays attention to the jail log or local crime news. Just this year he was arrested twice in the last 4 months; in August 2024 and most recently on November 13, 2024. A search for Parrott's name in Humboldt Superior Court system comes up with 25 related searches.
I was in courtroom 3 on 11/14 covering several cases and Parrott and three cases on calendar. He was arraigned on information in in CR2403119C. Bail in that case is $1,500,000.
I have added both the complaint which are the charges before preliminary hearing and the information which are the charges for jury trial. Parrott was held to answer on charges after his preliminary hearing; Deputy District Ian Harris was the prosecutor for the preliminary hearing. Deputy DA Roger Rees appeared on the case for the People on 11/14. That could be because Mr. Harris was in jury trial on another case.
Ms. Andrea Sullivan is Parrott's attorney. On 11/14, she appeared via Zoom. Judge Steven Steward read of the list of numerous charges in CR2403119C and special allegations which include home invasion, attempted murder, mayhem and carjacking. Readiness conference in all three cases is on 12/20/24; jury trial is on 1/6/25. CR2402575 & CR2303477 are trailing the co-defendant case.
Since I have provided detailed court records on all three cases as well as court minutes, I am not listing each individual charge.
